Slipcast Stoneware
Slip cast offers endless possibilities in clay.Unfortunately my explorations and objects in clay ened with years in NID.I hope to make more such work, my re-entry into functional ceramic ware.
Both the sets featured here, the lotion bottles and the teaset were first created in plaster of paris.I had carved each piece and then took molds of these.The teapot was a six piece mold , my most complicated slipcast to date.
The teaset is a six piece set : teapot, milkpot, snack bowl cup and sugar pot.
